Here are some of my original thoughts about my infographic topic:
1. How do graduate students keep a healthy and balanced academic life?
2. Recent 100 years of Jazz music
3. Outfit trends from 50's to current
4. First-aid instruction
5. 50 ways to cook chicken
6. IST graduate students' top five 2013 New Year Resolutions
7. 10 dishes you can make within 10 minutes
8. Teaching Technology Lab (TTL) in School of Ed. at IU
I'm more leaning towards two topics - "IST graduate students' top five 2013 New Year Resolutions" and "Teaching Technology Lab (TTL) in School of Ed. at IU". The topic of New Year Resolutions looks more interesting to me, however, the data collection might not easily be done and the number of participants might not be enough for showing graphs and numbers. So right now I consider creating an infographic to introduce what is TTL and what different kinds of services TTL Staff provide.

Hey,Janet:
ReplyDeleteGreat honor to be your Hoosier Buddy in the next 3 weeks!
All of your topics listed here is awesome! However, I would say some of them would be so awesome that you need much more time than you may expect! For example, the graduate student life would be such a big topic that you can not include everything you need in a same picture. Fortunately, the New year's Resolution and TTL, which are most accessible topics among the topic in my eyes, come to the top of your list!
To be honest, I have no idea of TTL's work yet though we already discussed a little bit in another course.Plus,by reading your later post, I found you leaned to that topic. Great! Can't wait to see your infographic.
Hi Martin,
ReplyDeleteThanks for your comment. No matter how serious the topics are, I always believe that infographic should be designed in an interesting, fun, and appealing way for the audience. And it does take time to design and develop an attractive and meaningful infographic. There are so many elements need to be taken into consideration. For me, this is a fun assignment. I hope you have enjoyed developing your infographic. And maybe you could be my subject for testing to see whether my design would convey the information I want my audience to receive. :)
I can't wait to see your infographic sketch as well!! :)
